Janaya Martin began writing poetry at a young age as a way to cope with the sudden loss of her father and has continued to use writing as a way to get through tough times. In 2019, after a nearly 4 year run, she passed her monthly reading series, Writers Read, in NE Minneapolis on to the fine folks at Cracked Walnut. Her poems have appeared in Oddball Magazine, The Grief Diaries, The Real Us, AutoAnatta, Juste Milieu, Gyroscope Review and The Wrath-Bearing Tree. Tiptoe and Whisper is her first book.
Tiptoe and Whisper, her debut book of poetry, is now available HERE, HERE, and at Eat My Words Bookstore in NE Minneapolis.
